Job Details
LINE Fukuoka is seeking a Front-end Engineer to join their team. The role involves developing web-based features embedded in various LINE apps and creating web application services related to LINE Family Services. The position requires close collaboration with planners, designers, and backend engineers to ensure optimal user experiences.
Location
The position is based in Fukuoka, Japan. LINE Fukuoka offers a hybrid work environment, allowing employees to choose their preferred work style for optimal performance.
Job Type
This is a full-time position with the possibility of remote work. LINE Fukuoka supports relocation to Japan and offers visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop web-based features embedded in various LINE apps.
- Create web application services related to LINE Family Services.
- Develop JavaScript SDKs for web applications integrated with LINE.
- Collaborate with planners, designers, and backend engineers to ensure optimal user experiences.
- Implement performance and UX improvements, considering mobile network environments in different countries.
- Act as a tech lead in JavaScript SDK development, enhancing web app services in conjunction with client-side developers.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in development with a focus on JavaScript.
- Expertise in HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
- At least 3 years of experience developing PC and smart device web applications or equivalent experience in developing large-scale B-to-C services.
- Experience with Single-page Application (SPA) implementation.
- Knowledge of accessibility and utility.
- Familiarity with CSS pre-processors.
- Experience with various development tools (e.g., build tools, task runners).
- Business-level proficiency in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience developing native iOS applications (Swift/Objective-C).
- Experience developing native Android applications (Java/Kotlin).
- Experience with server-side languages (e.g., Java, Perl).
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI).
- Contributions to or active participation in the Open Source Software (OSS) community.
Salary
The compensation package includes a fixed annual salary plus incentives, with salary reviews conducted twice a year. Specific salary details will be discussed during the interview process.
