Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and deploy the most efficient cloud-based solutions.
- Plan, design, and develop cloud applications tailored to client needs.
- Manage cloud environments while adhering to strict company security guidelines.
- Deploy, debug, and enhance cloud initiatives, following best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify potential security threats and propose proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
- Design and build web services in the cloud, including setups for geographically redundant services.
- Orchestrate and automate cloud platforms to streamline company-wide operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer role or similar position (exceptions for highly skilled cloud developers).
- Certification in AWS Solutions Architect and Cloud Security (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer).
- Proven experience in software development with languages like Java, Python, C++, or Ruby.
- Strong knowledge of web services, APIs, REST, and RPC.
- Hands-on experience with OpenStack, Linux/UNIX, Rackspace, Docker, and Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks.
- Expertise in databases, including SQL, NoSQL, and platforms like PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior development experience with C#, .NET Framework, and PowerShell scripting.
- Fluency in English for seamless communication in a global team.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with U.S. time zones.
